Terms

Terms of use

Effective 31 May 2026. These terms apply to the graaft.ai website, for visitors in South Africa, Australia, and beyond. If anything here is unclear, write to ask@graaft.ai and we will explain.

01 / 15

Introduction and acceptance

Welcome to graaft.ai. These terms govern your use of this website. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

We are Graaft, a studio that builds AI people, working from Perth, Australia and Johannesburg, South Africa. In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" mean Graaft, and "you" means anyone who visits or uses the site.

02 / 15

About this site

Graaft.ai presents the studio, the work, and the seats we hold. The content is for information only. Nothing here is an offer, a contract, or professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such. Any work we do together is governed by a separate written agreement that we both sign.

03 / 15

Who can use it

You may use this site if you can form a binding agreement under the law that applies to you. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.

04 / 15

AI-generated content

Some imagery, motion, and copy on this site is AI-generated and human-edited. We disclose this on every shipped surface. The same posture applies to product copy: drafted with AI, hand-corrected by a founder before it ships.

Our AI people are products and concepts. The names, faces, and voices you see are created, not real individuals, unless we clearly say otherwise. Treat what you see here as illustration.

05 / 15

Our content, and your licence to use the site

The Graaft name, wordmark, illustrations, photography, copy, and code are owned by Graaft or licensed to it, to the extent they are protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, revocable licence to view the site for your own non-commercial use.

You may quote short passages with attribution and a link back. Anything more, including copying, republishing, scraping, or using the content to train AI models, needs our written permission. All rights we do not expressly grant you are reserved.

06 / 15

What you send us

If you send us a message, a brief, an idea, or feedback, you confirm that you have the right to share it. We may use feedback and suggestions to improve our work, without obligation or payment to you. Please do not send us confidential information you do not want us to use, unless we have agreed to receive it in writing beforehand.

07 / 15

Acceptable use

Please use the site lawfully and with care. Do not scrape or harvest the site at scale, bypass security or access controls, upload anything unlawful or infringing, misrepresent who you are, or use the site to harm our team or anyone we work with. We may rate-limit, suspend, or block access to protect the site, and report unlawful activity.

08 / 15

Links to other sites

The site may link to other websites for context. We provide these links for convenience, and they do not mean we endorse those sites. We do not control them, and we are not responsible for their content or their terms.

09 / 15

Privacy

We handle personal information in line with our Privacy policy, which sits alongside these terms.

10 / 15

Disclaimers

We take care with this site, and we offer it as it is, and as available. We do not promise that the content is complete or current, or that the site will always be available or free of faults. This clause is subject to your rights under consumer law, set out below.

11 / 15

Your rights under consumer law

Some of the limits in these terms may not apply to you, because the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be set aside. Nothing in these terms removes those rights.

If you are in Australia. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where the law lets us limit, rather than exclude, our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, and the services are not of a kind usually acquired for personal, domestic, or household use, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the services again, or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
If you are in South Africa. Nothing in these terms removes or limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, or asks you to waive one. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for loss caused by our gross negligence or that of anyone acting for us, or for fraud or wilful misconduct. Any limit on our liability applies only as far as the law allows.

12 / 15

Our liability

Please read this. Subject to your rights under consumer law above, and to the maximum extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, or for loss arising from matters outside our reasonable control, including the site being unavailable. Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13 / 15

Changes

We may update, change, or remove parts of the site at any time. We may also update these terms as the studio or its services change. When we make a substantive change to these terms, we post it here and update the date below. If you keep using the site after a change, that means you accept the updated terms. Changes are not retrospective.

14 / 15

General

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a term, that is not a waiver of it.

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and its courts have jurisdiction on a non-exclusive basis. You may also have rights, and be able to bring a claim, under the law of the country where you live. If you are a consumer in Australia, the Australian Consumer Law continues to apply. If you are a consumer in South Africa, the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 continues to apply.
